Our divisional structure enables our members to specialise and excel in their areas of interest. It also serves as the foundation for the organisation to scale into the future.
The divisional structure of Blue Horizon is as follows:
Members of the Trading Division make up the bulk of the Blue Horizon fleet. They are the wealth creating engine room of Blue Horizon and as such are at the heart the organisation with all other divisions designed to support their activities.
The profile of the pilots who make up the division are as expected traders, but also generalists who, whilst capable of serving as fighters or explorers, have no preference for primarily carrying out these roles.
They are free to fly alone but typically look to the security provided by joining a convoy of fellow Blue Horizon pilots when making the lucrative runs across the low and zero security trade routes that we focus on.
Reporting lines include Senior Traders, Regional Trade Controllers, and the Division itself is headed up by the Trading Director.
The Fleet Security Division serves as Blue Horizon's dedicated in-house military arm.
It is a division of elite fighter pilots whose operational roles include leading and organising our convoys and further supporting them by providing dedicated fighter escorts.
Additional missions include carrying out pre-emptive reconnaissance, patrol and strike missions to identify and neutralise any and all threats to our trade routes of interest. These missions can include large scale assaults on significant threats within our zones of operation.
Reporting lines include Squadron Leaders, Wing Commanders, Group Commanders, Regional Security Directors, and the Division itself is headed up by the Chief of Fleet Security.
The Explorer Corps is a respected specialist group within Blue Horizon. Its members are drawn to Blue Horizon by the prospect of being part of a wider group already operating on the outer edge of the known universe.
In addition to the prestige that a newly discovered system brings the member and Blue Horizon as a whole, as a trading organisation all Blue Horizon pilots benefit greatly from being first to learn of such discoveries and the untapped commercial opportunities they present.
As such the Explorer Corps is of strategic importance to Blue Horizon, as is reflected by the group's oversight by a board level representative in the form of the Director of Exploration.
In addition to the front line roles offered by our Trading, Fleet Security and Explorer divisions, there are numerous opportunities for members to take up roles at our corporate headquarters to build our capabilities in specific fields.
These include:
The importance we place on these positions means that many of them represent opportunities for the member to build and manage teams and indeed progress to the highest levels within the organisation.
